Tripp Hughes was just 4-years-old when he was diagnosed with cancer. For two and a half years, Tripp and his parents traveled to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, for treatment. Nurses and doctors became family as the Hughes clan faced their toughest battle.
In July, Tripp was declared cancer-free.
Tripp wasted no time after receiving the good news. Wanting to give back to the staff that made him feel at home and other children facing similar struggles, Tripp started a toy drive.
This week, Tripp donated 4,400 toys to the hospital.
